Update 4/10/07

Karin wasn't able to come home today, but we are hoping for tomorrow. The doctors were a little concerned about her distended stomach possibly getting worse so they ran a couple of tests. In the process they essentially cleaned out her bowels. It turns out that some of her meconium plug (supposed to come out right after she is born) was still in her and we think she got it out now. Her breathing seemed to improve once she was cleaned out and they will run the car seat test tomorrow again. (She failed the one that they did today prior to cleaning her out.) Once she passes the car seat test, she can hopefully come home. The Lord has really taught us a lot the last few days about trusting Him. It is such an encouragement to think that even though the things that the doctors and nurses tell us seem to change by the hour, that He never changes and He has known everything that would happen with Karin even before she was born.

Thanks for all the updates. She's so wee and precious. Must be quite the thing to hold her. Hope she can come home soon. Belssings!
