Jon and I went away to Charleston for 2 days last weekend. It was a late anniversary gift from my family. We had a wonderful time together. It was nice to relax and just enjoy each other before Jon starts the business of school. We stayed in a Sheraton in North Charleston. Friday, we drove down and went to Isle of Palms. It was a perfect day for the beach. We just hung around for a few hours and then went back to the pool at the hotel. I was in a good amount of pain all day, so the water helped ease things. We hit the outlets before dinner at Olive Garden. After dinner, we went downtown to the Battery and walked around. We decided to hit Coldstone since we had a coupon. We didn't realize that it was on the other end of town. We ended up walking 3 miles in flip-flops that evening! :) Saturday, we hit the pool again and then walked through the Market downtown and ate lunch at Hyman's.
My parents kept Karin for us and she had a good time with them. Here she is sitting on Samson--the gigantic gorilla Forest got for Rachel.
