Family night

Last week, we decided to go to Chuck E. Cheese's. The girls had never been there, and I actually hadn't either. Karin loved all the games and actually ate some pizza too. Lauren just liked the pizza. :) We had a good time. It wasn't too crowded since we went early, and the music wasn't very loud either. All in all, it was a fun night as a family!

Elmo

Last week, Elmo was at Edventure, so we took the girls. Actually, Lauren really didn't care, but Karin was all about it! She was able to get a hug from him before they started! She talked about it the rest of the day!

Family Pictures

One of Jon's friends does some nice photography, so we asked him to shoot us on Monday. The pictures turned out really well. Of course, Lauren is teething and decided to not be herself that morning...we did manage to get a few good ones of her, though. Enjoy!

Mostly Lauren

Me reading to Karin the other night...not sure why it was blurry.

Lauren has discovered the stairs in our house and loves to climb them! Now, I need to teach her how to come back down! :)

The girls are sharing a room now and it's going well. Here is Lauren during her morning nap the other day. :)

The fort

One rainy afternoon last week, we (I) built a fort in the living room with some chairs, the couch, and a sheet. The girls liked it for the most part. Karin wanted to swing on top of the sheet--it does look kind of cool from the top--and so got upset when it didn't work. All in all, they liked it. :) I gave Karin some fruit snacks to eat in the fort. Lauren, being the food lover that she is, crawled right over and started to try to get some. Karin looked at her and said, "Sorry Charlie, you not big enough yet."

Tea Party

The other day, Karin woke up from her nap and asked to have a tea party. So, we invited her blanket, and some animals, and Lauren and had a little tea party. :)

Lauren had cheerios.

One view of the guests. :) It was such a full table, that Baby Doll had to sit in the stroller.

Conversation in the car Sunday night

We were driving home from church Sunday night and singing together. Karin would request some songs, and we would all sing them. This was when we were almost home and running out of songs to sing:
Me: "Karin, what would you like to sing next?"
Karin: "Peter."
Me: "I don't know a song about Peter."
Karin: "Sing it anyway."
Me: "How can I sing a song I don't know?"
Karin: "Oh come on, Mommy!"

**We finally figured out later that evening that she wanted "Peter and James and John in a Sailboat". :)
